GrapeHeart Vineyards is owned by a heart surgeon Dr. Ramzi Deeik and his wife Isabel. Their dream is to create stellar wines while giving back to organizations committed to women’s heart health. Their vision is to produce handcrafted, elegant wines from Suisun Valley, California, in the North Coast AVA, just over the hill from Napa Valley.
“Quality is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution: it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.” — William A. Foster
Who We Are
Dr. Ramzi Deeik, Co-Founder
The heart, as I see it, has two functions. One is obvious and essential, for which I have dedicated my career to surgically restore when damaged. The second is far less predictable. Every time we connect emotionally with others, the second function may resurface. Life is beautiful at those essential moments, moments when our hearts become sensory.
“I’m a big believer in the benefits of wine for prevention of heart disease, as well as a Mediterranean diet and exercise.”
Isabel Deeik, Co-Founder
Isabel was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey; growing up in Istanbul shaped her love for food and wine. Her favorite indigenous grapes of Turkey are Bogazkere and Okuzgozu, red varietals that enchanted her palette as she was developing a taste for wine. Wine became a passion for Isabel during her travels to Europe and while living in Paris. Isabel completed her Masters in Marketing in Chicago, IL. She lives her passion daily as co-founder of GrapeHeart Vineyards. Partnering with her husband, Isabel and Ramzi aim to produce high quality wines in Napa, CA.
Isabel oversees the development of the GrapeHeart brand, a growing boutique winery with a team of experts in the industry.
Jean Hoefliger, Consultant Winemaker
